Legal Support for EU-Funded Projects
EU-funded projects connect programme conditions, grant agreements and the rules governing expenditure and reporting. Legal work addresses project implementation as well as administrative disputes that arise during or after delivery.
‘Stoychev, Dr Valkov & Co’ has worked on a number of European projects. Some of our lawyers participated in ‘Publicity and transparency in the workings of the administration, management of public funds and the activities of the Municipal Council in Sopot Municipality’. We were involved in the following areas:
- good practices in the European Union under Project ‘Publicity and transparency in the workings of the administration, management of public funds and the activities of the Municipal Council in Sopot Municipality’
- legal analyses of the legislature for transparency in management of public funds in municipality and its implementation
- „evaluation of transparency in Sopot Municipality and recommendation of measures to be taken for its increase
We have consulted clients on European funding projects, including with regard to disputes over financial corrections.
The review is based on the grant agreement, project documents, expenditure and the relevant authority’s findings. Financial corrections require analysis of their grounds, evidence and challenge options. The project described above forms part of the team’s historical experience, not a current funding programme.
