- Graduated from the Academy of the Ministry of Interior in 1974; after that received a law degree at the Academy of the Ministry of Interior;
 - Defended a PhD thesis in Moscow Academy of the Ministry of Interior (MVD) in ‘Detection of violent crimes committed in big cities’;
 - Participated in Antiterrorism Assistance Program and completed course "Managing the Crisis" at Louisiana State University in Washington – USA;
 - Completed course ‘Management of authorities’ at the Superior Academy of the Ministry of Interior - Kiev;
 - Over 30 years of practice at the Ministry of Interior, as he held different executive positions - Deputy Head of the Metropolitan Police Department, Head of the Criminal Police of Bulgaria and Head of Office ‘Coordination and Information Analysis Administration’;
 - Founder and member of the Executive Board of ‘Association of Chiefs of Police’;
 - Managed National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol – Sofia; Participated in the training of managers at the Academy of the Ministry of Interior;
 - Author of the methodology for development and implementation of Complex operational games; Author of the simulation game ‘The penal process from A to…Z’, designed and developed together with Judge Vladimir Vulkov, whose assignors are: the "Association of Chiefs of Police", the "Union of Judges in Bulgaria" and the "Association of investigating magistrates";
 - participated with his scientific research dedicated on medical error in a Congress of the Balkan Academy of medical examiners, held in 2007 in Bulgaria
